Your report
In plain words
What this score means for your business, written for the owner rather than the web developer. The technical detail behind every sentence is further down.
Your website scored 51 out of 100. AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity can reach your site, but they struggle to make sense of it or to do anything once they arrive. In practice, when a customer asks an assistant for a recommendation, a competitor with clearer pages is more likely to be named. The good news is that most of what holds you back is straightforward to fix. That places you ahead of 43% of the 5,321 websites we have checked.
Today, AI assistants can open your website. They can partly understand what you offer, with gaps that cost you recommendations. They cannot find your business, tell who you are, and contact or book you. The step to focus on first is “Can AI tell who you are?”. AI assistants cannot verify your business from your website, so they hesitate to recommend it.
Across the 36 checks we ran, we found 27 things to improve, spread over 5 of the five steps. 2 of them disappear when you add a Dashform funnel: a form and booking path that AI assistants can complete on a customer's behalf. That takes about five minutes and needs no developer. The remaining 25 need a web developer. The fix list at the end of this report gives them exact instructions, so a short session should cover most of it. None of this requires rebuilding your website.

The five steps, one by one
A customer asks an AI assistant for a recommendation. Here is what happens at each step when that assistant reaches your website.
Can AI find your business?
NoAI assistants struggle to find your business or confirm it is active, so you rarely come up in their recommendations.
Before an AI assistant can recommend you, it has to find you. It looks at your social profiles, business listings, and whether your site shows signs of being active and looked after, much like a cautious customer would.
4 things to improve
- Your page links to none of your social profiles, so assistants cannot cross-check that you are the same business they see elsewhere. Linking your profiles in the footer is enough.
- Your business record does not point to your official profiles elsewhere, so assistants cannot be sure the accounts they find are yours. Listing them in the record removes the doubt.
- We found no link between your site and a Google Business Profile, which assistants use to confirm where you are, when you open, and what customers say. Claiming the free listing and linking it is worthwhile for any local business.

Can AI tell who you are?
NoAI assistants cannot verify your business from your website, so they hesitate to recommend it.
AI assistants only recommend businesses they can verify. They read the details your site publishes for machines: your name, what you do, where you are, and how to reach you. Missing or vague details make them hesitate.
10 things to improve
- Your page carries business details for machines, but not in a form that says “this is a business”. Assistants cannot tell whether they are reading a company, an article, or a product. Labelling the record as your kind of business fixes this.
- Your business record for machines is incomplete. Assistants learn only a few facts about you and have to guess the rest, which makes them cautious about recommending you. Adding your address, hours, contact details, and services makes the record useful.
- Your page is missing some of the basic descriptions that tell search engines and assistants what it is about. They fall back on guessing, which can misdescribe you. Adding the missing tags takes minutes.

Can AI open your website?
YesYour website opens reliably for AI assistants.
An AI assistant has to be able to open your pages before anything else counts. Blocked crawlers, security challenges, slow responses, or broken links stop it before it reads a word, and it simply moves on to the next business.
4 things to improve
- A security check stops automated visitors before they see your page, and it stops AI assistants too. Customers asking those assistants for a recommendation will not hear about you. Your security provider can allow trusted assistants through.
- When an AI assistant identifies itself at your front door, your site turns it away. Customers using that assistant cannot hear about you from your own website. Your security or hosting provider can allow it through.
- We could not find a privacy policy on your page. Assistants and customers expect one from any legitimate business, and its absence lowers trust. A link in the footer is enough.
And one more in the full details.
Your web developer can handle this with the fix list from this report.
Can AI contact or book you?
NoAI assistants have no way to contact or book you today, so a recommendation cannot turn into a booking.
In the final step the assistant tries to act for the customer: book a time, send an enquiry, or start a purchase. It needs a form, a booking path, or a connection it can use. Without one, even a glowing recommendation ends with the customer on their own.
4 things to improve
- Your site has no guide written for AI assistants, so they have to work out what you offer by reading everything. A short llms.txt file lists your services and key pages in one place, and takes an afternoon at most.
- Assistants can read about you, but they have no way to work with you directly, for example to check availability or make a booking on a customer's behalf. Dashform provides this connection when you add a funnel; no developer needed.
- Assistants have to read your full designed page rather than a plain version. They still manage, but it is slower and more error-prone. Offering a plain version is a nice-to-have.
And one more in the full details.
Dashform can take care of this for you. No developer needed.
Can AI understand what you offer?
PartlyAI assistants can read most of your website, but some pages are unclear to them.
Once inside, the assistant reads your pages much like a person skimming them. Clear headings, real text, described images, and properly labelled buttons help it describe you accurately to the customer.
5 things to improve
- Your page does not label its parts, so a machine cannot tell the menu from the main content or the footer. Assistants may treat navigation as content or miss the important part. Your developer can add the labels without changing how the page looks.
- Many of your images carry no written description, so assistants, and people who cannot see them, have no idea what they show. If your work is in the pictures, it is invisible. Adding a sentence to each image fixes this.
- Your headings jump levels, which makes the outline of the page harder for a machine to follow. It is a minor issue and a quick tidy-up for your developer.
