Your report
In plain words
What this score means for your business, written for the owner rather than the web developer. The technical detail behind every sentence is further down.
Your website scored 56 out of 100. AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity can reach your site, but they struggle to make sense of it or to do anything once they arrive. In practice, when a customer asks an assistant for a recommendation, a competitor with clearer pages is more likely to be named. The good news is that most of what holds you back is straightforward to fix. That places you ahead of 54% of the 5 325 websites we have checked.
They can partly tell who you are et open your website, with gaps that cost you recommendations. They cannot find your business, contact or book you et understand what you offer. The step to focus on first is “Can AI contact or book you?”. AI assistants have no way to contact or book you today, so a recommendation cannot turn into a booking.
Across the 34 checks we ran, we found 23 things to improve, spread over 5 of the five steps. 3 of them disappear when you add a Dashform funnel: a form and booking path that AI assistants can complete on a customer's behalf. That takes about five minutes and needs no developer. The remaining 20 need a web developer. The fix list at the end of this report gives them exact instructions, so a short session should cover most of it. None of this requires rebuilding your website.

The five steps, one by one
A customer asks an AI assistant for a recommendation. Here is what happens at each step when that assistant reaches your website.
Can AI find your business?
NonAI assistants struggle to find your business or confirm it is active, so you rarely come up in their recommendations.
Before an AI assistant can recommend you, it has to find you. It looks at your social profiles, business listings, and whether your site shows signs of being active and looked after, much like a cautious customer would.
3 things to improve
- We found no link between your site and a Google Business Profile, which assistants use to confirm where you are, when you open, and what customers say. Claiming the free listing and linking it is worthwhile for any local business.
- Your pages carry no dates, so assistants cannot tell whether your information is current or years old. They prefer businesses they can see are active. Adding publication and update dates to your business record fixes this.
- We found no current year on your page, which is one of the simplest signs assistants use to tell a live site from an abandoned one. Updating the footer takes a minute.
Your web developer can handle this with the fix list from this report.
Can AI tell who you are?
PartlyAI assistants can tell who you are, but some details are missing or unstructured, so they may describe you incompletely.
AI assistants only recommend businesses they can verify. They read the details your site publishes for machines: your name, what you do, where you are, and how to reach you. Missing or vague details make them hesitate.
4 things to improve
- Missing 1 trust page (Privacy)
- Assistants cannot read your opening hours, the area you serve, or your prices. When a customer asks “are they open now?” or “how much?”, the assistant has no answer and may suggest someone else. Publishing these in your business record fixes it.
- Your pages do not say who wrote or publishes them, so assistants cannot attribute your content to a real business. Naming your business as the publisher in your structured data fixes this.
And one more in the full details.
Your web developer can handle this with the fix list from this report.
Can AI open your website?
PartlyYour website opens for AI assistants, but something slows them down or partly blocks them.
An AI assistant has to be able to open your pages before anything else counts. Blocked crawlers, security challenges, slow responses, or broken links stop it before it reads a word, and it simply moves on to the next business.
6 things to improve
- Much of your page only appears after scripts run in a browser. Many assistants read the page as delivered and never run those scripts, so to them your site can look nearly empty. Serving the content ready-made fixes this.
- When an AI assistant identifies itself at your front door, your site turns it away. Customers using that assistant cannot hear about you from your own website. Your security or hosting provider can allow it through.
- When someone asks for a page you do not have, your site says “found” instead of “not found”. Assistants cannot tell real pages from wrong guesses and may index empty ones. Your developer can correct the reply in minutes.
And 3 more in the full details.
Your web developer can handle this with the fix list from this report.
Can AI contact or book you?
NonAI assistants have no way to contact or book you today, so a recommendation cannot turn into a booking.
In the final step the assistant tries to act for the customer: book a time, send an enquiry, or start a purchase. It needs a form, a booking path, or a connection it can use. Without one, even a glowing recommendation ends with the customer on their own.
5 things to improve
- Your site has no guide written for AI assistants, so they have to work out what you offer by reading everything. A short llms.txt file lists your services and key pages in one place, and takes an afternoon at most.
- Assistants have to read your full designed page rather than a plain version. They still manage, but it is slower and more error-prone. Offering a plain version is a nice-to-have.
- Your page does not tell assistants what a customer can do here: book, reserve, order, or enquire. They can describe you but not act. Declaring the action in your business record fixes this, and Dashform does it for you when you add a funnel.
And 2 more in the full details.
Dashform can take care of this for you. No developer needed.
Can AI understand what you offer?
NonAI assistants struggle to understand your pages, so they may describe you wrongly or not at all.
Once inside, the assistant reads your pages much like a person skimming them. Clear headings, real text, described images, and properly labelled buttons help it describe you accurately to the customer.
5 things to improve
- Your page does not label its parts, so a machine cannot tell the menu from the main content or the footer. Assistants may treat navigation as content or miss the important part. Your developer can add the labels without changing how the page looks.
- Many of your images carry no written description, so assistants, and people who cannot see them, have no idea what they show. If your work is in the pictures, it is invisible. Adding a sentence to each image fixes this.
- There is very little readable text on your page, so assistants have almost nothing to work with when describing what you offer. They may skip you or describe you vaguely. A few clear paragraphs about your services change this.
And 2 more in the full details.
Your web developer can handle this with the fix list from this report.
