1. What Information Do We Collect?

Information You Provide

We collect information that you voluntarily provide when you:

• Create an AutoFill account
• Upload text files, documents, or images for AI extraction
• Edit or update your JSON profile inside the plugin
• Contact us for support

Examples include:

• Your name, email address, and login credentials
• Files you upload (text, images, PDFs) for extraction
• Any data you manually enter into your JSON profile

Local Storage by Default

All extracted information and your JSON profile are stored locally in your browser's extension storage.

AutoFill does not upload, sync, or store your JSON profile on our servers.

Information Collected Automatically

To maintain and improve the Services, we may collect:

• Extension usage data (e.g., number of autofills performed)
• Subscription status (free or Pro)
• Error logs related to extension performance
• Basic website analytics

What We Do NOT Collect

• Your browsing history
• The contents of the web pages you visit
• The details of forms you fill
• Your JSON profile data
• The text of your uploaded documents (unless you use a cloud LLM provider)

Form Parsing

AutoFill reads the HTML structure of the current page only when you click the "Check Form" or "Auto-Fill" button.

This structural data is processed locally and is not sent to our servers.

2. How Do We Use Your Information?

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the AutoFill extension
• Authenticate your account and manage subscription status
• Track usage counts (free vs Pro limits)
• Improve UX, stability, and performance
• Respond to support inquiries
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data.

3. How Is AI Processing Handled?

AutoFill supports two types of AI processing:

A. Local AI Processing (Ollama)

• Runs directly on your device
• No data leaves your computer
• JSON profile remains fully local

This is the recommended mode for privacy-sensitive users.

B. Third-Party Cloud LLM Providers (OpenAI-Compatible APIs)

AutoFill supports external AI providers that follow the OpenAI API standard, including:

• OpenAI (GPT models)
• DeepSeek
• ZhipuAI
• Moonshot
• Gemini (via OpenAI-compatible gateway)
• OpenRouter endpoints
• Enterprise/self-hosted OpenAI-style servers

When using cloud LLMs:

• Only the file you upload (e.g., a resume or image) is sent to the chosen provider
• AutoFill does not store the uploaded file
• AutoFill does not store the extracted results on our backend
• Your JSON profile still stays local-only

A clear notice in the plugin indicates when data leaves your device.

4. How Do We Store and Protect Your Data?

Local Data (JSON Profile & Extracted Information)

• Stored locally in your browser extension
• Never uploaded to AutoFill servers
• You may delete it anytime from the plugin settings

Backend Data

We store only minimal information required for account management:

• Email and hashed password
• Subscription tier (free or Pro)
• Usage count (number of autofills used)
• Basic error and performance logs

Security Measures

• HTTPS and TLS encryption for all network communications
• Strict access controls for backend systems
• No storage of personal form data, JSON profiles, or uploaded document contents

Despite strong protections, no system is perfectly secure. Use AutoFill on trusted devices.

5. Will Your Information Be Shared?

We only share limited information in specific scenarios:

Service Providers

• Cloud hosting (e.g., AWS, GCP)
• Payment processors
• Analytics providers

All are bound by confidentiality obligations.

AI Providers

If you choose to use a third-party AI model, your uploaded file is shared only with the selected provider.

Legal Compliance

We may share data if required by law, court order, or regulatory authority.

Business Transfers

In case of merger, acquisition, or sale, service continuity may require transferring certain backend records.

We NEVER share:

• Your JSON profile
• Your personal extracted data
• Your browsing content
• Your form contents

6. Cookies and Analytics

Our website may use cookies for:

• Performance optimization
• Basic analytics
• User session management

We do not use tracking cookies across non-AutoFill domains.

7. Data Retention

• Local JSON & extracted data: stored only on your device until deleted
• Account & subscription data: retained while your account is active
• Usage logs: deleted or anonymized after they are no longer required

8. Children's Privacy

AutoFill is not intended for individuals under 18 years old.

We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

If a minor used our Services, contact us for immediate deletion.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

• Access your stored account data
• Request deletion of your account
• Correct or update account information
• Withdraw consent for processing
• Port or export your account data

Local JSON data can be deleted directly from the plugin interface.
